The 4th Annual Ceol Na Samhna Music Festival took place in Tubbercurry from 9th-11th November 2012 with a host of traditional music, dance and story telling celebrating Irish culture.
Friday 9th November 2012: It was the official opening by Michael Brennan Chairman of Connaught Council with local C.C.É junior and senior musicians, with special guest Darren Breslin All Ireland Accordion Player in St. Brigid’s Hall. Afterwards we enjoyed a great session in the bar.
Saturday 10th November 2012 – Workshops in Cawley’s : Traditional step dancing workshop with Michael Tubridy, Set dancing workshop with Betty McCoy and humorous verse and storytelling with Dick Beamish. Followed by sing song and ceili in the hall. Followed by a great session in the bar.
Sunday 11th November: Saw Sean Nós Dancing with Emma O’Sullivan and afternoon Sessions throughout the town.
