September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. To mark this month, rugby legend Rory Best is walking 180 miles in aid of Cancer Fund For Children Ireland.

The walk begins at the charities Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co. Down and finishes at their new Daisy Lodge in Cong, Co. Mayo.

The walk will last nine days and along the way Rory will meet with children and young people who have been affected by cancer and he will learn about the issues they face and how their life has changed.

Rory popped by to say hello on his journey through Tubbercurry. We were delighted to meet Rory and support the wonderful cause.

So far Rory has raised an incredible €372,680.88.

The charities goal is to reach €500,000 before Rory finishes his walk.
