New Sligo Walking Guide

We are delighted to see that a new and improved Sligo Walking Guide from has been compiled and is now available to the public from a number of outlets in Sligo. This handy guide is free and presents the best 40 walks around the county of Sligo.

The guide features the walking highlights of Sligo which includes the Keash Hill Trail and Knocknashee which are both located nearby. The rest of the walks are divided into different categories, so it is easy to find the type of walk that suits you or the family. The categories to choose from are urban, coastal trails, lakes & rivers, forest and long-distance walks including The Sligo Way.

The guide highlights the distance, duration, grade, waymarking and map features and includes easy to follow directions and a full description of each walk. The middle of the guide is a map of County Sligo showing the locations of each of the walks presented in the guide.

We are lucky to have so many walks and trails located nearby for our guests to enjoy. The Keash Hill Trail, Knocknashee, Ballymote Heritage Trail, Tubbercurry Trail, Lough Talt and Lough Easkey are all within a short distance to us. So, book a getaway over the Mid-term and use Cawley’s as a base to explore these scenic walks and trails with the family.
