The 2023 Western Drama Festival and the celebration of our 80th year, will be officially opened by awarding winning Director Dearbhla Walsh on Friday 3rd March.
“Dearbhla is an Emmy, IFTA and BAFTA award winning director and is a native of Tubbercurry. Dearbhla has had a lifelong association with the Drama Festival. Dearbhla grew up in a household steeped in drama festival tradition with her parents Joe and the late Maeve and of course the many many drama groups who made Cruckawn House their home during festival time. No doubt this influence played a big part in her reaching the heights of international accolades.” – Western Drama Festival

We are open Wednesday to Sunday during the festival, so be sure to drop in for a pre theatre dinner or call in for a drink during the intervals.
